The evening of my second day in Havana, October 1st, 2015

  Am I dressed for it - NO, but Hi ho, hi ho,  off to the theatre we go. We hop another bicitaxi, even though it is only a few block away.

The Teatro Marti is splendid. It opened in 1884.

The theatre was re-opened in February of 2014 by Raul Castro after restoration work which started in 2000.

There is a music festival in Havana which is going on for about two weeks.  Groups from all over the world are performing at different venues.  I am lucky enough to be going to the marvellous Marti.  I was totally spellbound with the performance.

Princess Gail goes home by taxi (not the BMW with embassy plates waiting in front of the theatre), but a very very happy lady.
